Middle school with my boys was challenging

The most challenging part of  motherhood so far would have to be middle school with teenage boys. I know every kid is different, but for myself, when the boys went into middle school, it was very challenging. You’re still trying to figure out who you are and who your friends are.

We don’t hit our kids

We don’t beat our kids. That’s a definite. We 100 percent swore that off right from the start. The older generations certainly know what it feels like to grow up under that tactic, and it wasn’t pretty. Everything else is fair game. We do time outs, try to reason with them and are huge with taking things away. We specifically target things that plug in. Removing the iPad is the end of the world for my children. If I threaten that one – they listen!

There is a big gap between my kids

The perfect age gap between kids? With me, I don’t know. There was a big gap between my kids, the 19-year-olds and a 5-year-old. What’s good is I have a built-in babysitter. I love all the different stages.

I was pleasantly surprised

My husband did a good job at my makeup, I was actually very, very surprised! He actually knew the colors/shades I prefer on my face and did a wonderful job as to putting everything together. I was kind of thinking I was going to look like a clown after I looked in the mirror. I was pleasantly surprised!

I like putting together my kids’ clothes

My weekend outfit? It’s not about me. It is about my kids. They just have the coolest clothes these days. One day it will be dress day, one day it will be pants day and one day it will be skirt day. My daughter’s style is a lot like mine. A lot of mixed match and all over the place.
