I look to magazines like Vogue and Lucky for inspiration, but mostly I go on shopping trips. This is what I do to gain a fashion perspective. Since my blog is primarily about giving fashion advice, I love to go places where I can see the latest trends and styles up close and personal. For me, this is the best way to be able to go back to my blog and share the information. I’ll take a full day once every two weeks to do that. I also look to celebrity stylists for advice — Rachel Zoe being my guru!

I guess if there’s one part of my beauty routine I never, ever skip, it’s sunscreen. I wouldn’t dream of walking out my front door without sunscreen! Other than that, I’m afraid I’m guilty of skipping pretty much every other part of my routine at least once a week each. Yes, at least once a week I go to bed with my makeup on. At least once a week I do my entire face, but forget the mascara. I often skip lipstick on purpose because I just can’t be bothered. Sometimes I even forget to put on body lotion and yes, sometimes I forget to put on deodorant. It’s a good thing I so rarely work up a sweat!

This just makes me so excited because some of my most favorite videos to watch are the “What’s in your makeup bag?” ones. When it comes to what’s in my bag, it really does depend on the day and what kind of look I’m wearing. What never changes is how much I carry and how heavy it is. If you ever hold my purse and it feels like a brick is in there… you now know what it is.

I don’t think every mom should get any cosmetic procedure unless they want one. Nobody has to get a cosmetic procedure but I would say the one that is probably the most popular here in La La Land would be a breast augmentation. I don’t know about you, but after breastfeeding two babies… enough said.

I mean look at me…. I spend virtually no time at all on my hair on a daily basis.  It almost always looks exactly the same.  So, in this case, I would have to say, make-up wins out in terms of what takes longer.  (and that only takes about 5 minutes)  The exception, of course, is on the days when I have to wash and dry my hair…and then?  My hair takes forever.  Forever.  Even my small people complain when they see I have wet hair because they know it is not a short process.
