I decided to go vegan!

I’ve actually become vegan. In January, my New Year’s resolution was to take my health to whole other level. I’m a huge advocate about doing research for yourself. I started to read a lot of books. My husband is really holistic. So, I decided to go vegan. I am enjoying this ride. I feel so much better. I feel great energy and feel good about myself. I feel like I’m doing what’s best for me and my body.

What bad eating habit do you want to break?

Gorging on chips and cookies…

Since March is National Nutrition Month, I would have to say that this month I would like to stop eating the sweets after 8 p.m. I’m so bad at gorging on chips and cookies while I’m watching TV — it’s not good. I feel gross afterwards and hate going to bed on a full stomach. This month I really want to stop that, and if I’m hungry, choose to have something healthy… fruits or veggies. I don’t want to keep eating badly because it’s not good for body or my baby.

What are everyday healthy choices you make for your kids?

Everything organic!

In terms of nutrition, we eat organic at home so that we can live our lives and have fun when we’re out in the world. I let my kids try everything — I like to try everything, so I let them do the same. And in terms of sweets, they’re over that. They know candy and treats are no big deal!

Do you find you have to watch what you eat more carefully as you get older?

It all depends on if I care!

Yes and no.  If I want to look like I did when I was younger (much younger) than absolutely, I would need to watch every single morsel that goes into my mouth.  I might even be better off not eating half the morsels I partake in actually.  But, if you’re where I am right now and kinda want a break from caring about what my body looks like, then I say…partake away!

I’m a huge athlete!

I’m a huge athlete and so is my husband. I love anything outdoors! I also love to bowl. In fact, we are about to set up a bowling league! I grew up playing soccer and softball and I still play in a softball league today. You may not look at me and think I’m  an athlete, but I will beat any guy you put in front of me! Just ask my husband!
