Pregnancy tests in bars is bananas

Pregnancy tests in bars is bananas. This is ridiculous. If you’re going out to a bar and are having a drink, are you legitimately going to go into the bathroom and take a pregnancy test?

There are so many things I wish everyone knew about ALS

There are so many things I wish everyone knew about ALS. It’s a devastating disease — a disease that took my wonderful, beautiful mother. She was one of the sweetest people to ever walk this earth. There is no cure for ALS right now. There is no medication that can help extend your life by much, if any at all. I think if more people knew this, then maybe they would fight really hard to find a cure.

At the gym with my trainer

My favorite way to work out is at the gym with my trainer, away from the house. I’m lucky enough to have a gym in my house, and stupid enough to have a gym in my house, because I don’t use it as much as I should. I only use it when I have no time to get to the gym. I have to work out with other people working out. It pushes me, it motivates me. Working out, for me, is about sanity and not about vanity.

You name it and I have it

I unfortunately suffer from almost all outdoor triggers. You name it and I have it. Pollen, tree, grass, ragweed. Then, I go inside and add dust and mold. Ah-choo! My middle child inherited my sensitivity. We are very careful about going outdoors because of it. If we know we are going to spend a full day outside, we are sure to bring along some allergy medicine, sunglasses, hats and wipes. The sunglasses and hats help limit our interaction with the airborne seasonal entities and the wipes allow us to constantly clean our hands. We try to stay on top of it as much as possible. The last thing you want to do is have a child not able to run around with his friends.
