Yes, we are those parents who let the kids sleep in the bed with us. I guess it started when they were breastfeeding; it was always so hard to get up at night to feed those babies! Interestingly, though, when we proposed to our first kid that she get her own “big girl” bed and sleep in a room of her own? She was all for it! And we haven’t had a problem with it since. Neither kids put up much of a fuss about going to sleep in their own bed, it’s more that when they do wake up during the night, they’d be upset and want to get in with us. Our little one is about to turn 3 and he still sleeps with us at least half the time. But I can totally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Big boy bed, here we come!
