I encourage my kids to be active by telling them video games don’t actually exist and that there will be no meals served unless they play outside at least once a day. Okay, I don’t really say that. But, what I actually do tell them often is to just “Go outside and play!!!”  And no matter what I do to make playing seem fun, it still seems like it can be such an effort for them.  Like it’s a punishment or something.  And you know what, I blame those gosh darn computers…dang technology!
