How do you feel about attachment parenting?

what's yours?
I wrote a whole book on it!

It is the umbrella term that we use in our family to describe a belief that children don’t manipulate, they give indicators of what they need. It meant learning a lot about natural birth, breastfeeding as the optimal choice for us, sleeping with our kids. Attachment parenting was a complete lifestyle of surrendering and committing to the first years for your child’s life. Balancing your life is critical, but you can still embrace certain aspects of attachment parenting. It’s not all or nothing, but rather a general understanding that you can parent with gentle discipline. Children need and depend on us at first so they can be independent later. No one knows the perfect way to raise a child. I stick close to biology, instinct and have an open mind about how our kids speak to us and how we speak to them.
