If my spouse had an affair I’d have to tell my kids why their father no longer existed, because I’d most likely kill him. All joking aside, I do think their comes a point when kids are old enough to handle the truth. I might skate around it while they’re really young, but if it comes out in high school I see no reason to hide it. Losing some respect from them would be one of the many consequences my husband would have to deal with for betraying our family. He made the bed…he sleeps in it. No pun intended!
